1-800-FED-INFO National Contact Center

The Federal Citizen Information Center manages a toll-free National Contact Center with specially trained staff to answer questions in English and Spanish about all aspects of the federal government. The National Contact Center staff handled more than 1.7 million calls in fiscal year 2010, and processed nearly 77,000 e-mails. They responded to another 21,000 people who asked questions through webchat, and more than 4.3 million people visited their FAQs at USA.gov.

The public can get help by calling toll-free 1-800-FED-INFO and/or 1-800-333-4636 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern time to speak to an information agent. Recorded messages on popular topics are also available around the clock.
