Ginger Betson

Ginger Betson is the Executive Officer at NCCIH. In this role, she serves as the principal advisor to the Director, the Deputy Director, and the Center’s senior staff on all phases of administrative policy and procedures involved in operating the Center. She oversees NCCIH’s business management functions including financial management, human resource management, management analysis, information technology and support, acquisitions management, ethics, and general administrative support, such as space and facilities management, internal controls, travel services, and property accountability.

Ms. Betson came to NCCIH in 2014 as deputy executive officer, with responsibility for overseeing the management analysis and human resources functions as well as providing guidance across all administrative areas. Previously, she served as the principal administrative officer, Office of the Director, National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). During her tenure at NIDCR, she served in a variety of roles providing support across the institute. Ms. Betson began her NIH career in 1991 in the NIH Police Branch, Office of Research Services. 

Ms. Betson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Frostburg State University. Among her accomplishments are completion of NIH Senior Leadership Training, two NIH Director’s Awards, and an Office of the Director Honor Award.
