Stories of Cancer Research
NCI supports cancer research to advance scientific knowledge to prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat cancer and to help cancer survivors live longer, healthier lives. The Fiscal Year 2022 NCI Annual Plan and Budget Proposal shares the stories of Phineas, Maria, and Bill, three individuals who benefited from NCI research, as well as Jelani and Wendy, two NCI-supported researchers who are working to find new ways to bring treatments and improved quality of life to people with cancer and cancer survivors.
