WAPA shows pride in 5-7-5
In celebration of WAPA’s 40th anniversary, Public Affairs held a challenge to find the best WAPA haikus created by employees. Haiku is a short form of Japanese poetry written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line and five syllables in the third line.

Employees submitted more than 140 entries during the challenge period, June 14 to July 14. The top 40 are showcased in WAPA’s Flickr album  and will be featured on Facebook and Twitter leading up to the organization’s next all-employee meeting, where the top three winners will be announced!

The 40 People in 40 Weeks campaign is designed to reflect what WAPA’s employees and its partners bring to the electric utility industry. From March 15 to Dec. 21, we will spotlight an employee, customer, business or congressional partner each week on WAPA’s social media accounts. The campaign reflects WAPA’s diversity, both inside and outside the organization.
