Kate Scaife Diaz

Representative

Kate Scaife Diaz joined the IAF in 2020 as a Foundation Representative. Her areas of interest are economic inclusion and civic empowerment of marginalized groups, including migrants, Afro-Latino, and indigenous populations. She brings a strong focus on delivering results, having previously led the monitoring and evaluation unit at TechnoServe. At TechnoServe and as an independent consultant to the World Bank and International Finance Corporation, Equal Exchange, and Root Capital, among others, Kate developed expertise in migration and development, agricultural value chains, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion. She started her career at Alianzas America, where she coordinated the transnational advocacy efforts of immigrant-led grassroots organizations in the United States. She holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
