OIG Semiannual Reports and Letters to Congress

Pursuant to the requirements of the IG Act , the OIG has issued semiannual reports to the Board and to Congress since it was established in 1989. The contents of the report are dictated in part by the IG Act's requirements to include, inter alia, the following items: a review of proposed and existing legislation and regulations impacting the agency; significant problems, abuses, or deficiencies relating to the administration of the agency's programs and operations during the reporting period and recommendations with respect to them, summaries of matters referred for prosecution, and a list of audit reports issued.
