Summary

The Office of Inspector General is initiating a review of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Operational Evolution Plan (OEP). This plan represents FAA!s commitment to meet the demand for air travel in the United States for the next decade and includes new technologies as well as new runways. The September 11th terrorist attacks against the United States have prompted a shift in priorities from enhancing capacity to ensuring the security of air travel.
