Technical Developer

Work Schedule: Full Time
Salary: $60,669 – $89,365
Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area

 

Technical Developers translate user, customer, and stakeholder needs into programmatic requirement for the research, development, production and/or procurement of processes, systems and/or services. Individuals in this field also define baseline project scope and conduct acquisition planning and source selection. Candidates will define architecture and allocate requirements; develop and execute system engineering management processes; identify inter-segment system problems and risk mitigation and coordinate/manage the resolution process; sponsor technical exchange meetings, attend change control board meetings, and conduct technical and project management briefings; lead configuration management process; conduct efficient, thorough reviews at program control gates, presenting decision authority.


Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree (PhD highly desired) in: various engineering disciplines, computer science, physics, mathematics/statistics, chemistry, biology, or material science with a GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale; as well as initiative, creativity, integrity, technical excellence and strong interpersonal and communication skills. A self-starter attitude, the ability to work independently and in a group, strong computer and internet proficiency, domestic and overseas mobility, demonstrated initiative, and writing/briefing skills are also required.

All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.

To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
