Status and Trends of Wetlands in the Coastal Watersheds of the Conterminous United States: 2004 to 2009

This report provides estimates of wetland losses or gains that occurred in the coastal watersheds of the conterminous United States from 2004 to 2009. It updates and expands previous reporting on coastal wetland loss by incorporating new data for the coastal watersheds of the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and Great Lakes, and in addition, provides information for the Pacific coast along the states of Washington, Oregon, and California. The information presented provides data on the areal extent of wetlands but does not assess wetland condition or other qualitative changes to wetlands in coastal watersheds.

Visit the Wetlands Status and Trends page for additional reporting, including previous coastal studies.
