Join us for science fun at Community Day at SLAC on October 19!

WHAT: Community Day is an evening of enriching activities to learn about science and have fun doing it.

  • Participate in interactive exhibits and demos of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEaM); program to be posted soon
  • Join hands-on workshops
  • Listen to short science talks…and ask questions
  • Watch short movies in a Discovery Dome (planetarium) or short clips in a 3D visualization lab
  • Take a mini tour of the Klystron Gallery and Linac Coherent Light Source
  • Get free hotdogs/burgers and drinks, giveaways, and a chance to win exciting prizes (drawing at 7:00 p.m.)

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2019, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

WHERE: SLAC, 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, Science and User Support Building, Kavli Building and Main Quad

WHO: Everyone (all ages) is welcome! Children ages 17 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Community Day is free but registration is required. General registration opens on Sep. 18 at 10 a.m.

Note: no pets are allowed at SLAC.
