​WAPA provides training to qualify our utility customers' electrical workers to perform switching operations on the federal power system in routine and emergency situations. The Power System Operations Manual, Chapter 1, establishes consistent and coordinated procedures for the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of WAPA facilities.

This reference is not intended as a substitute for training, but only to provide the latest guidelines and procedures for qualified personnel. It is reviewed annually and updated as necessary.
