Publication of resilient PNT conformance framework
(Dec 17) The Resilient PNT Conformance Framework was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate and developed in coordination with industry and federal agency partners. This framework is relevant to equipment vendors and critical infrastructure end-users and provides guidance for defining expected behaviors in resilient PNT equipment, with the goal of facilitating development and adoption of those behaviors through a common framework that enables improved risk management, determination of appropriate mitigations, and decision making by end-users. SMC and its partners poised to launch fourth GPS III satellite
(Sep 29) The U.S. Space Force's newest Global Positioning System (GPS) III satellite, Space Vehicle 04 (GPS III SV04) rolled out to Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40, Sept. 27. The Lockheed Martin-built GPS III SV04 is scheduled to launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket – the third National Security Space Launch (NSSL) mission on a Falcon 9 rocket, the second U.S. Space Force (USSF) first-stage booster recovery, and the sixth USSF launch on Sept. 30.
