Most major tour sites and museums in the Washington, DC area have suspended public visits and tours due to increased public health risks associated with COVID-19.

Smithsonian Institution Museums & the National Zoo
Status: 
All Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., including the National Zoo, are closed.

Status: 
All Library of Congress buildings and facilities will be closed to the public, including researchers and others with reader identification cards and all Library-sponsored public programs and public tours are postponed or canceled until July 1.
