The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Advisory Committee advises the Director of BEA on matters related to the development and improvement of BEA's national, regional, industry, and international economic accounts, especially in areas of new and rapidly growing economic activities arising from innovative and advancing technologies, and provides recommendations from the perspectives of the economics profession, business, and government.

The Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC) advises the Directors of the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Commissioner of the Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics on statistical methodology and other technical matters related to the collection, tabulation, and analysis of federal economic statistics.

The Advisory Committee on Data for Evidence Building will review, analyze, and make recommendations on how to promote the use of Federal data for evidence building. Its duties include assisting the Director of the Office of Management and Budget on issues of access to data and providing recommendations on how to facilitate data sharing, data linkage, and privacy enhancing techniques. The Advisory Committee will review the coordination of data sharing or availability of data for evidence building across all agencies. The Committee, which OMB has delegated to the Commerce Department’s Office of the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs, will submit a publicly available annual report on its activities and findings to the OMB Director.
