UPDATE: In March 2020, the Foreign Service Institute temporarily shifted our in-person classroom trainings to remote training delivery, to protect our workforce and students and prevent the spread of COVID-19. This shift to remote training also supported students who could no longer travel to campus given worldwide travel restrictions, but for whom remote and distance learning options provide a workable alternative. In keeping with the U.S. Department of State’s “Diplomacy Strong” plan, which follows U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, FSI began a gradual return to in-person training for certain courses in June 2020. Information on specific courses is in the FSI Course Catalog and FSI will be in contact with students enrolled in upcoming training to provide additional details. Distance learning courses will continue to be available to students through FSiLearn.
