The U.S. Regional Export Control Office in Dubai is the Bureau of Industry and Security’s Strategic Trade Control Representative for the United States Government in the United Arab Emirates. The office has regional areas of responsibility that include but are not limited to: Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Djibouti. The Regional Export Control Office works closely with our U.S. Consulate and U.S. Embassy partners in countries covered in our area of responsibility to advance U.S. national security, trade and economic security and U.S. Department of Commerce Export Control regulations as they relate to strategic trade issues, proliferation, WMD, and international security matters. The Regional Export Control Office also works closely with our host government partners to build bilateral relationships and cooperation on areas of mutual interest that enhance international trade and international security responsibilities between governments in the region.
