Whistleblowers perform an important service to the public when they report evidence of waste, fraud, abuse, and other misconduct. Each year, whistleblowers save U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars, make the country safer, and improve government efficiency and effectiveness.

The Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) have developed this resource to ensure that whistleblowers are informed of the avenues available to them to report wrongdoing, and also the correct venue to file a complaint to address any retaliation that may occur after reporting wrongdoing.

By following the prompts below, you will be directed to the appropriate Inspector General, OSC, or other entity to report wrongdoing or to file a retaliation complaint.
