Summary

The Inspector General testified before the House Subcommittee on Transportation and Related Agencies, Committee on Appropriations on "Management Oversight Issues in the Department of Transportation." As in his February 14, 2001 testimony before the Transportation Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee, the IG's testimony focused on four thematic issues confronting the new Administration and the new Congress: transportation safety, stewardship of transportation funding, immediate budget issues, and aviation system performance.
