- USTRThe Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing negotiations with other countries. The head of USTR is the U.S. Trade Representative, a Cabinet member who serves as the president’s principal trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on trade issues. The U.S. Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva is headed by the Deputy U.S. Trade Representative.

The U.S. Agency for International Development leads international development and humanitarian efforts to save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance and help people progress beyond assistance.
- USDA
The U.S. Department of Agriculture provides leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management. The U.S. Mission to the WTO in Geneva includes representatives of USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
- USPTO
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is the federal agency for granting U.S. patents and registering trademarks. In Geneva, USPTO works closely with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
- HHS
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) works to enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans. It fulfills that mission by providing for effective health and human services and fostering advances in medicine, public health, and social services. HHS’s Office of Global Affairs works closely with the Geneva based World Health Organization to promote global health diplomacy to protect and promote health worldwide.
