Our Mission

The Office of Verification, Planning, and Outreach (VPO) serves as the verification and strategic planning unit of the AVC Bureau. VPO identifies technological solutions to the arms control needs of today and the challenges of tomorrow, as well as leads external engagement with the non-governmental community, Congress, members of the media, and the general public. VPO also manages the Secretary of State’s International Security Advisory Board (ISAB) and the Key Verification Assets Fund.
