The OIG has also instituted a two-year Auditor Career Track (ACT) Program to facilitate recruitment and retention of the "best and brightest" college graduates. This program for Level I auditors is designed to graduate fully trained level II auditors who possess a fundamental knowledge of TVA and OIG operations and are fully capable of planning, leading, and executing audits of TVA programs, functions, and operations. All auditors may advance to a senior level auditor as their skills and experience increase. Employees may also apply to be considered for the audit/evaluations manager and director positions as they become available.
There are four levels of positions in the special agent career ladder--Level I, Level II, Level III, and Senior. In addition, employees may compete for selection for Assistant Special Agent in Charge and Special Agent in Charge postions, which are limited in number.
The OIG only accepts e-mailed resumes for posted vacancies. Resumes should be e-mailed to oigcareers@tvaoig.gov. All applications should reference the job announcement number and must be received by the closing date specified in the job announcement. Resumes are accepted only for current open jobs. See vacancies for current job opportunities.
All supporting documentation related to work authorization or veteran preference must be submitted to the OIG at oigcareers@tvaoig.gov by the closing date of the job announcement.
The OIG gives hiring preference to qualified United States citizens and other "protected individuals" (green card holders, asylees, etc.) for all job vacancies. Between qualified United States citizens and other protected individuals, the OIG gives hiring preference to equally qualified born or naturalized United States citizens.
If you are a United States military veteran and wish to claim veteran's preference, all veteran documents must be received by the closing date of the position.
