VA’s authority to issue payments under VRAP ended March 31, 2014.
Students currently receiving VRAP benefits may verify their enrollment for March as usual through VA’s Web Automated Verification of Enrollment or Interactive Voice Response on or after March 31. To verify attendance, visit https://www.gibill.va.gov/wave or call the customer service team at 888-442-4551 [7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (CDT)]. Students must notify School Certifying Officials and VA at 888-GI Bill-1 (888-442-4551) of any changes in enrollment that occur on or after April 1, 2014.
VRAP offered up to 12 months of training assistance to unemployed Veterans who:
To date, VA has received and processed more than 143,000 VRAP applications. Of over 126,000 approved applicants, more than 76,000 have enrolled in a training program. VA has paid more than $886,000,000 in VRAP benefits to unemployed Veterans, age 35-60.
