Organdonor.gov is an official U.S. government website administered by HRSA’s Division of Transplantation. Our website provides educational information about organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation, and promotes donor registration.

We encourage you to use the resources below to address any questions you have. However, if you require additional assistance, please submit questions using the email address at the bottom of the page.

Registering or Updating Your Donor Status

You can register or update your status in your state donor registry. To find your state’s donor registry select your state from the drop down menu.

Visit the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) website to learn about policies governing the national organ transplantation system, including policies regarding organ allocation in the United States.

The OPTN website houses current and historical data about deceased and living donation, and waiting list and transplant data. Visit https://optn.transplant.hrsa.gov/data/about-data/ to learn about the OPTN data.

The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients HRSA Exit Disclaimer Icon (SRTR) provides transplant program-specific reports to help patients and the transplant community understand patients’ experiences while awaiting a transplant and after transplant.
