Conservatory Closed

To limit the risk of transmitting COVID-19 coronavirus, the United States Botanic Garden (USBG) has changed its operations. The Conservatory and gated outdoor gardens are temporarily closed to the public while Bartholdi Park and the Terrace Gardens remain open. Please monitor this website for updates to operating status. Many resources can be accessed online, including educational materials, virtual tours, informational videos, and our fall programs will all be online. Connect with resources from home at www.USBG.gov/AtHome.

Become a U.S. Botanic Garden Volunteer!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Garden is not accepting new volunteer applications at this time. Please check back in Spring 2021 for updated information.

Volunteer Todd Brethauer shares a voodoo lily with a visitorU.S. Botanic Garden volunteers have a common sense of purpose in identifying with the Garden's mission of demonstrating the aesthetic, cultural, ecological, economic, and therapeutic importance of plants to humankind. Have you ever wondered how you could be part of the experience?

Through their time at the Garden, volunteers develop new skills, explore their personal interests, and make significant contributions that enable the Garden to fulfill its mission. Volunteering is a great way to meet others and connect with the community. Volunteers must be 18 years of age.

Please note that there is no volunteer parking available at the Garden. We recommend public transit for volunteers.
