Owner of Long Island Paving Company Sentenced to Eight Months In Jail
Summary
On June 18, James K. Haney, president of Suffolk Asphalt Supply, was sentenced to eight months in jail and three years supervised release for his role in rigging bids on various roadway projects sponsored by the Suffolk County Department of Public Works and the Town of Brookhaven, New York. Haney also agreed to forfeit $2.3 million to the U.S. Government and pay $326,343 in restitution to Suffolk County and Brookhaven.
