Conflict of Interest between the NIF Technical Review Committee Member and review of proposal All Conflicts of Interest between a reviewer and the proposals being reviewed should be reported to the Committee Chair and the NIF User Office Director prior to accepting lead reviewer assignments. Conflicts include being formally listed on the proposal, having supervision responsibility for the PI, or in any way receiving significant benefit from the awarding of the proposal.
If a conflict exists between a reviewer and a proposal, the reviewer shall not:
- be assigned as lead reviewers of the proposal
- be present during the review of the proposal
- score the proposal
- participate in the discussion of the proposal during the review process
- discuss the proposal with other review committee members or Chair
