Fraudulent Email Warning! Please Be Vigilant!
The Small Business Programs Office would like to remind you to remain vigilant while conducting business with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Recently, two of our business partners sent us emails that they received from someone impersonating an ORNL Procurement Officer. The email domain was @utbattelle.org, which is not a real email domain. It is possible the impersonator was attempting to build a relationship with the email recipient for a future phishing attempt, which could suggest the person is trying to phish you (vs. ORNL).
If you receive a questionable email related to ORNL business, please forward it to us here, and to security@ornl.gov . We also suggest you send to your own IT security team if one is available. Thanks.
