Welcome to the Railroad Retirement Board’s digital library. Currently, the library houses over 80 years of Legal Opinions published by the Office of General Counsel and all of the Board Coverage Decisions issued by the Board. The library is updated on a quarterly basis.

First, click the box of the document category to be searched. A box must be checked to conduct a search. Then, you must either search by date range or search by document number. To search by date range enter the desired date range. To search by document number enter the document number. The document number must be in the following format: Legal Opinions: L-2012-45 Board Coverage Decisions: B-2003-04.

Finally, enter search terms in the lines as needed. It is recommended to use single-word terms on each line, if possible. The search engine will recognize basic “Boolean Logic” search terms and functions (AND, OR, NEAR, “ “).
