About the Observance Celebrated every November, National Family Caregivers Month (NFCM) is a time to recognize and honor family caregivers across the country. It offers an opportunity to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, and increase support for caregivers.
We need your help promoting ACL’s Social Care Referrals Challenge to create and modernize health IT solutions to foster connections between health care systems and community-based organizations that provide social care for older adults and people with disabilities. We ask you to spread the word about a technology development opportunity with cash prizes totaling $500,000.
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act This year marks the 30th anniversary of a major milestone in our nation's history—the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Since it became law on July 26,1990, this landmark legislation has helped increase inclusion and opportunities for people with disabilities in almost every aspect of American life.
