Grant Award Announcements

The HHS Office of Population Affairs and the HHS Office on Women’s Health awarded $7.4 million to JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. to establish and operate the National Training Center for Family Planning and Teen Pregnancy Prevention.

The HHS Office of Population Affairs awarded three research grants to synthesize and translate existing research exploring new questions in the area of promotion of healthy behaviors to prevent teen pregnancy.

The HHS Office of Population Affairs awarded $8,579,345 for five new grants to expand family planning services in areas that are currently unserved and/or underserved by the Title X network. OPA also awarded $11,360,000 in supplemental grants for current Title X grantees.

The HHS Office of Population Affairs announced $19,285,680 for 13 new grants to organizations for “Tier 2 Innovation and Impact Network Grants: Achieving Optimal Health and Preventing Teen Pregnancy in Key Priority Areas.”

The HHS Office of Population Affairs awarded a total of $3,714,317 for four new grants to organizations to conduct rigorous evaluation of promising interventions (TPP Tier 2 Phase II).

The HHS Office of Population Affairs announced the award of $56,300,000 for 49 new grants to organizations to “Optimally Changing the Map for Teen Pregnancy through Replication of Programs (Tier 1).”

The HHS Office of Population Affairs awarded a total of nine family planning service delivery improvement research grants in the areas of Data Trends and Analysis, Innovations in Family Planning Clinical Service Delivery, and Studies to Address Opportunities and Barriers for Linking Family Planning Services and Substance Use Disorder Screening and Treatment.

The HHS Office of Population Affairs announced $33.6 million in fiscal year 2019 funding awards to 50 current Title X grantees in order to supplement their family planning services.

The Office of Population Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the award of $13,566,000 for 29 grants to organizations for Replication of Programs Proven Effective through Rigorous Evaluation to Reduce Teenage Pregnancy, Behavioral Risk Factors Underlying Teenage Pregnancy, or Other Associated Risk Factors (Tier 1) – Phase I.

The HHS Office of Population Affairs announced recipients of fiscal year 2019 funding awards to Title X grants for April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2022.
