WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announces the creation of the COVID-19 Surge Response Program in response to the declared National Emergency. Under this program, agencies will be able to post rotational opportunities for federal employees to support the COVID-19 response.
The COVID-19 Surge Response Program will use Open Opportunities, a governmentwide platform that offers professional development opportunities to current federal employees. The platform provides a centralized location where federal agencies can post details, microdetails, and/or temporary rotational assignments.
"The COVID-19 Surge Response Program will allow agencies to quickly realign their workforce so they can better accomplish their mission for the American people. Dedicated civil servants will be able to go to one place and apply for a mission-critical position to support the public during this National Emergency," said Acting Director Michael Rigas.
All COVID-19 guidance issued by OPM is available at opm.gov/coronavirus.
