The Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is in the process of preparing a new Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement (SWEIS) for Continued Operation of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The SWEIS will analyze the potential environmental impacts of the reasonable alternatives for continuing Livermore Laboratory operations for approximately the next 15 years.
NNSA will present a draft SWEIS document for public review and comment in approximately fall 2021. The availability of the draft document and a schedule of NNSA-hosted public meetings will be announced at that time.
