Contributors
Thomas Coffey is a member of the Lessons Learned Program of the Center for the Study of Intelligence. He specializes in the relationship of intelligence to policy. He is a former analyst in CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence.
Robert Cowden wrote the article as a graduate student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
Nicholas Dujmovic is a CIA historian. He is a former member of the Studies Editorial Board and a frequent contributor.
John Ehrman is an analyst in the CIA’s Directorate of Intelligence. He is a frequent and award winning contributor.
Dr. Christopher D. Jones is an associate professor at the University of Washington’s Jackson School of International Studies. His teaching specializations include NATO/Warsaw Pact relations and post-Cold War security issues.
Jason Manosevitz is a CIA Directorate of Intelligence analyst and a member of the Editorial Board of Studies in Intelligence.
Hayden Peake has served in the CIA’s Directorates of Operations and Science and Technology. He has been compiling and writing reviews for the “Intelligence Officer’s Bookshelf” since December 2002.
Stephen B. Slick was President George W. Bush’s intelligence advisor and senior director for intelligence programs and reform in the National Security Council during 2005–2009. He is a senior CIA officer.
William T. Weber served in the CIA Directorate of Intelligence until his retirement. He continues to consult in the field of intelligence analysis.
David Waltrop has served as the deputy chief historian of the National Reconnaissance Office. He is currently an associate information review officer in the CIA’s Information Management Staff.
Richard Willing is an officer of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence assigned to the Center for the Study of Intelligence.
