Integral to NOAA GLERL’s research program is the capacity to understand and identify priority needs of stakeholders and user groups and conduct research in response to those needs. A core product are our peer reviewed research articles. GLERL promotes and and translates research and development outcomes products to a variety of communications products that are customized to our stakeholders. Through collaboration with NOAA’s line offices, as well as a network of Great Lakes science communicators, GLERL delivers cohesive messages on its scientific research in ways that are meaningful and actionable. GLERL also participates in educational events and initiatives that promote Great Lakes literacy and cultivate a science informed society.
