2021 Women Veterans Trailblazers 2.0 Initiative
CWV is accepting nominations of women Veterans to highlight as Trailblazers. For this initiative, CWV has defined a women Veteran Trailblazer as a woman who has served and separated from the service and makes an impact by enhancing the lives of other Veterans, Veteran families or Veteran caregivers. On June 23, 2020, the VA Acting Deputy Secretary Pamela Powers and U.S. Air Force Veteran hosted a Women Veterans Forum. The topic was Evolving and Improving Women Veterans Support and Access in a Virtual Environment during COVID-19.
VA Women’s Health Transition Training
The Women’s Health Services Office at the Department of Veterans Affairs, in conjunction with the Department of Defense, is hosting a Women’s Health Transition Training. I Am Not Invisible Virtual Exhibit
There are roughly 2 million living women Veterans, and many VA Central Office employees who are women Veterans. By spotlighting the many faces of this diverse and important segment of the Veteran community, I Am Not Invisible aims to increase awareness and dialogue about women Veterans, as well as open viewers’ eyes to the myriad levels of expertise of Veterans serving Veterans.
