Briefly

Michael McConnell is an Agricultural Economist in the Crops Branch, Markets and Trade Economics Division at the Economic Research Service, USDA. He is the Coordinator of the agency's Feed Grains Outlook Program, overseeing the monthly Feed Outlook, Feed Grains Database, and the Bioenergy Statistics data products.

Background

Michael also worked in the ERS market outlook program from August 2007 to January 2011, focusing on international livestock and meat markets and international sugar and biofuel markets.  Prior to his return to ERS in 2014, Michael was a Senior Consultant with Informa Economics in McLean, VA, and from 2011 to 2013 he was the grains analyst for the Agricultural Division at the U.S. International Trade Commission. 

Education

Michael received both his M.S. and B.A. in Economics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
