Building Energy Codes Fact Sheet

Today's building energy codes provide in excess of 30% energy savings compared to the codes of a decade ago. Current codes are expected to save U.S. home and business owners an estimated $5 billion annually (as of 2012). Since 1992, building codes have also resulted in about 300 million tons of avoid CO2 emissions.
