The Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD) is a joint project of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS) and National Library of Medicine (NLM). The DSLD contains the full label contents from a sample of dietary supplement products marketed in the U.S.

Within the DSLD you can search for products either in the market (DSLD On Market), off the market (DSLD Off Market), or consumed by National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey participants in the latest survey in the DSLD database (NHANES):

  • The search options: Quick Search, Browse Dietary Ingredients, Browse Products, and Browse Contacts will return label information from dietary supplement products that are currently on the U.S. market - DSLD On Market products.
  • Label information from dietary supplement products that have been discontinued or are no longer on the U.S. market are in DSLD Off Market. Through the Advanced Search feature you can search for DSLD Off Market as well as DSLD On Market and in the latest NHANES survey that is in the database.

For the DSLD, all information is obtained from the manufacturers' labels.

The DSLD is being developed initially for researchers and scientists.
