Coastal Minnesota employs about 105,000 people annually, earning over $4.6 billion. This equates to over $10 billion in gross domestic product.

Natural Hazards

Eight billion-dollar disasters affected Minnesota between 2010 and 2018. The most recent weather disaster was a hail and high-wind storm in June 2017, which collectively caused $2.5 billion in damage to Minnesota and Wisconsin.
