2020 Air Quality Awareness Week
Our theme this year is Better Air, Better Health! Our goal is to promote events that increase air quality awareness and encourage people to check the Air Quality Index (AQI) daily.
This year, EPA is honoring the year leading up to the agency’s 50th anniversary on Dec. 2, 2020 by celebrating different achievements each month. May is designated as “Improving Our Nation’s Air.” EPA will be associating our AQAW theme with this broader effort.
We would love to help spread the word about your air quality educational resources. In support of at-home environmental education during these unprecedented times, please send links for online activities, videos and print-at-home materials for students and teachers to lee.debra@epa.gov, and we will post them on our Educational Resources page. And don’t forget to tag @airnow in your social media posts. We will be using the #AQAW2020 hashtag this year.
We appreciate the important partnerships that have been critical to improving air quality over the decades, especially around promoting AQAW.
