Policy, Data, Oversight Pay & Leave

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) provides leadership on Federal pay and leave administration policies and programs. We maintain pay tables for General Schedule employees, manage the Federal Wage System, and develop and provide Governmentwide regulations and policies on other pay and leave authorities. Ultimately, each Federal agency is responsible for complying with the law and regulations and following OPM's policies and guidance to administer pay policies and programs for its own employees.
