December 5, 2018 – SpaceX CRS 16 rocket launch

GEDI will be launched from Cape Canaveral, FL, on board of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

October 1-5, 2018 – ForestSAT Conference

Different members of the GEDI Science Definition Team (SDT) will be presenting during the ForestSAT conference in College Park, Maryland (hosted by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland) and providing information on the current status of algorithm development and science applications for the upcoming GEDI lidar data.
