ENSURING UNIVERSAL POSTAL SERVICE IS DELIVERED TO AMERICA

The ongoing pandemic is exacerbating the Postal Service’s longstanding financial problems, but under current law, its universal service mission is largely undefined. As confirmed by a new GAO report, Congress must consider how best to reassess and determine the level of universal postal service the nation requires. Postal Regulatory Commission Chairman Robert G. Taub explains in an Op-Ed in today’s Morning Consult that clarity of mission for our national treasure of the Postal Service should be job one.  https://morningconsult.com/opinions/ensuring-universal-postal-service-is-delivered-to-america/

Commission Operating Status

To ensure the continuity of the Commission’s mission and safety of its workforce, the Commission has temporarily suspended on-site operation due to the impact of COVID-19. The Commission is fully operational and conducting all business as normal from remote workstations.
