South Carolina Daily COVID-19 Update (December 17, 2020)
Today, DHEC announced 2,023 new confirmed cases and 136 new probable cases of COVID-19, 39 additional confirmed deaths and 4 new probable deaths. Percent positive is 24.2%.

Report and Submit Dead Birds to Help DHEC Track West Nile Virus
Now Through November: Residents can help the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) track West Nile virus (WNV) this spring, summer, and fall by submitting recently deceased birds, especially crows, blue jays, house finches, and house sparrows. These species are more susceptible to WNV than other species, making them good candidates for testing. For more information, including locating a local DHEC office for submitting deceased birds, visit scdhec.gov/birdtesting.
