* The total number of tests that have been reported to the New Jersey Department of Health using PCR, the most widely used viral testing method. It is not a count of how many people have been tested. Some persons have been tested multiple times, while some tests produce inconclusive results and need to be repeated. Additionally, about 20 percent of the tests performed on New Jersey residents, particularly persons who were tested at private facilities, have been processed by laboratories that are not known to consistently report negative results.

The Department of Health and the Department of Human Services are working to ensure food assistance support for low-income communities is still accessible through the pandemic.

Declining immunizations during the current pandemic put children and communities at risk for outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases. Please remember, pediatric offices are open and ready to provide your child with the vaccines and care they need to stay healthy! The New Jersey Department of Health and the New Jersey Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics encourage parents to contact their pediatrician to learn about the policies and procedures they have in place to keep you and your family safe during an office visit.
