Dr. Srinivas Iyer is the new LANL Office of Science Program Director.  Srinivas Iyer obtained his doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Houston, TX and joined Los Alamos National Laboratory as a postdoc in 1999 to work on a DOE Office of Science project. His expertise and interests lie in developing and applying physical and analytical methods to address questions in biology.  Srinivas served as the Bioscience Division Leader, and he currently serves as the Program Manager for the Biological Systems Science Division of SC-Biological and Environmental Research Office.  He has participated on various LANL review committees, including the LDRD Strategy team, and on advisory panels at other DOE laboratories.  Srinivas currently co-leads a multi-laboratory DOE National Virtual Biotechnology Laboratory project focused on informing the design of therapeutics against SARS-CoV2.
