The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program offers training and technical assistance (T/TA) to support recipients in key areas. T/TA takes many forms; the most common are tools, webinars, and manuals found in the TargetHIV Library. Some T/TA providers provide phone and email-based assistance and consultation and others manage regional and national learning collaboratives.
HRSA HAB Project Officers are the first point-of-contact for Ryan White recipients in managing their federal funds and accessing training and technical assistance.

Health Coverage
The Access, Care, and Engagement Technical Assistance (ACE TA) Center builds the capacity of the RWHAP community to navigate the changing health care landscape and help people with HIV to access and use their health coverage to improve health outcomes.
HIV Care Innovations
The Best Practices Compilation will document existing best practice strategies and interventions that have been shown to improve HIV outcomes in a "real world" setting and can be replicated by other programs.
- SPNS initiative suporitn the expansion of HCV prevention, testing, care, and treatment capacity and coordination efforts to link people with HIV into HCV care.
SPNS project to produce and evaluate four linkage and retention intervention packages on jails, buprenorphine, peers, and patient navigation. TA provided to selected RWHAP demonstration sites. Packages available. Active 2015-2020.
Implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed interventions to reduce HIV-related health disparities and improve health outcomes. Focus on transgender women, Black MSM, behavioral health integration, addressing trauma. TA provided to 26 RWHAP agencies. Active 2017-2021.
Project to identify, catalog, disseminate, and support the replication of evidence-informed approaches and interventions to engage people with HIV who are not receiving HIV care or who are at risk of not continuing to receive HIV care.
Adaptation of HRSA HAB SPNS program insights into practical resources. Disseminates T/TA resources.
Developing and field-testing tools for improving STI screening in people with HIV and those at risk of acquiring HIV. Active 2018-2021.
The initiative is developing new HCV/HIV screening, care and treatment approaches.
Technical assistance across HIV and behavioral health/substance use service providers to enhance system-level coordination and networks of care among Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) recipients and other federal, state, and local entities.
TAP-in supports the 47 EHE jurisdictions funded by HRSA to strengthen their EHE work plans, promote cross-jurisdictional learning, and ensure jurisdictions have access to the resources they need.

ESCALATE will focus on reducing HIV stigma through training participants in EHE jurisdictions.
Planning and Planning Bodies
Help with data collection and analysis related to Unmet Need estimates. Assistance is offered via email or phone consultations, webinars, staff trainings, or through the provision of resource materials.
Support for Part A and B recipients and their planning bodies around integrated HIV/AIDS planning efforts.
Building the capacity of RWHAP Part A Planning Councils/Planning Bodies to meet legislative requirements, strengthen consumer engagement, and increase planning involvement by community stakeholders/providers.
