Dealing with COVID-19 and the societal response is extremely challenging. People with disabilities and the people who support them share these challenges—and then some. As the parent of a young adult with a disability, I know this very well. There are challenges about right to treatment, how to maintain social connections while isolating, how to learn remotely, how to communicate about medical issues, and so much more.
