Curriculum of educational sessions to promote client engagement and retention in HIV care in order to increase overall rates of viral suppression, based on evidence informed practices, including motivational interviewing, to address identified gaps in care.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) fills gaps in care for individuals living with HIV disease. Over half of the 1+ million people living with HIV/AIDS in the U.S. get some type of care from the RWHAP. The majority of RWHAP clients are low income individuals from racial/ethnic minority populations. Technical assistance and training resources assist RWHAP agencies in delivering care to specific populations. Examples include care protocols, cultural competency resources, and patient education materials.
