The CFPB requests public comment on a wide variety of topics to inform our work. These requests can include: proposed rules, requests for information, and Paperwork Reduction Act notices that give the public an opportunity to comment on certain planned or existing reporting, record keeping, and disclosure requirements.
All these notices are published in the Federal Register. You can submit comments and review the comments received by clicking on the links below. You don’t have to be an expert or a lawyer to give comments. We invite all individuals to share their views. The Dodd-Frank Act provides for consumer rights to access financial account and account-related data in usable electronic form. The CFPB is seeking comments from the public about consumer access to such information, including access by entities acting with consumer permission, in connection with the provision of products or services that make use of that information.
